What the service does
This service connects people affected by cancer with volunteer financial advisers for free financial advice. Financial advisers can provide advice around accessing superannuation, insurances and Centrelink, debt management as well as retirement and estate planning. The service is for patients, carers and bereaved carers who are experiencing cancer-related financial issues and cannot afford the cost of professional advice. The service is completely free for people who cannot afford professional advice and meet eligibility criteria. A referral for paid financial advice is available for people who do not satisfy eligibility criteria.
