What the service does
Women’s Legal Service Victoria helps women get free legal help. The service can help with legal problems related to family violence, sexual violence, family law, child protection and victims of crime matters. The service can also provide legal information, advice and, in some cases, legal representation. People can also be referred to other useful services. Interpreters can be arranged for people who prefer to speak a language other than English. Support is available across Victoria. Support may only be available for people who meet specific criteria.
