What the service does
Women’s Legal Service Queensland helps women get free legal help. The service can help with legal problems such as family law, family violence, child protection and sexual assault matters. The service can also provide legal information, advice and support. People can also be referred to other useful services. Interpreters can be arranged for people who prefer to speak a language other than English after contacting the helpline. Support is available for women in Queensland. Support may only be available for people who meet specific criteria.
