Uniting Communities

Legal support

What the service does

Uniting Communities provides free legal support for people having problems with Centrelink payments in South Australia. People can get information, advice, referrals and help with appeals (asking for a decision to be reviewed) if they disagree with a Centrelink decision. This may include issues with payments such as Disability Support Pension, JobSeeker or Family Tax Benefit. The service can support people who are thinking about an appeal or who have already started one. Interpreters can be arranged if needed. Uniting Communities also offers other legal services for issues such as family law, credit and consumer problems. The service is available to people in South Australia who meet the service's criteria.
