What the service does

The Tasmanian Aboriginal Legal Service provides free legal support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Tasmania. The service supports people with criminal law, family law and civil law matters. People can learn about their rights, get help with legal problems and access legal representation. The service also provides advocacy and community education to support fair access to justice. This service is available across Tasmania, with offices in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.
