Financial support and information

What the service does

Taxi Subsidy Scheme ACT (TSS) helps people who live in the Australian Capital Territory and cannot use public or community transport because of a disability or major mobility problem. The amount of support can vary. People may get help paying part of their taxi fare, but the subsidy and maximum amount per trip are set case by case. An application is required. A medical practitioner or occupational therapist must complete and sign it. People must be permanent ACT residents, or asylum seekers with proof of status from Companion House.
