What the service does
The Public Guardian and Trustee helps people in the Northern Territory plan for future decisions. People can get help to make a Will and an Advance Personal Plan (document to record future wishes and choose decision‑makers). People can also get help with guardianship (a legal role to make personal and health decisions). The service can manage estates after someone has died and help people manage money and financial affairs. The Public Guardian and Trustee can also act as a trustee to manage money or property for another person.
