What the service does

National Centre for Childhood Grief supports children and young people who have experienced the death of someone close to them. It also supports families and carers. The service offers specialist grief counselling for children aged 3–17. Support can be one‑to‑one or in groups, and can be in person, online, or by phone. Children’s counselling is free. An initial session with a parent or carer may have a fee, and adult counselling may also have costs. The service also offers other programs to help cope with grief. Support is available across Australia.
