What the service does
The Mental Health Emergency Response Line (MHERL) is a free telephone service for people in Western Australia who need mental health support. It provides advice, assessment and referral to appropriate services. Trained mental health clinicians answer the phone and can help people, families and carers. The service can be used during a mental health crisis or when there are concerns about someone’s safety or wellbeing. People can contact the service at 1300 555 788 (Perth metro), 1800 676 822 (regional) or 1800 550 044 (Peel).
