Cancer Council WA

Wellbeing programs

What the service does

The Life Now Program offers gentle exercise and calming activities for people with cancer and their carers. The program can help reduce stress and support wellbeing. Activities include beginner‑friendly exercise, meditation, mindfulness, mindful art, tai chi and yoga. Courses are free and available across Western Australia and online. External exercise providers will charge a fee for an initial assessment. Some health conditions may affect suitability for the exercise program. It is not suitable for people with certain muscle, heart or nerve conditions, a current serious illness, multiple myeloma, very low red blood cells (severe anaemia) or low white blood cells (neutropenia).
