What the service does
Interstate Patient Travel Assistance Scheme (IPTAS) supports people who travel for treatment. This service is for residents of the Australian Capital Territory and Jervis Bay Territory. It helps pay for travel and accommodation costs. Jervis Bay residents who want to use this service must travel at least 100 km to receive medical care. People must meet certain criteria to use this service. A doctor’s referral is needed to access this help.
