What the service does

The Better Access initiative helps people in Australia get mental health care through Medicare. It helps people pay for therapy sessions. If a person meets criteria, Medicare can help cover the cost of therapy. This includes up to 10 one‑to‑one sessions and 10 group sessions each year. A doctor must check the person’s mental health and confirm a mental health condition before they access this initiative.
