What the organisation does

Liver Foundation Australia helps people affected by primary liver cancer, cancer that starts in the liver. Support is available to family members and carers. Services include support from cancer nurses through a helpline, as well as nutrition and counselling support. Support is available to people living in cities, regional areas and remote communities across Australia.

Primary Liver Cancer Nurse-Led Tele Support Service is a phone support line for people with liver disease or liver cancer. It also supports family, friends and carers. Cancer nurses can help people understand what a diagnosis means and share general information about treatments and side effects. They can talk about common signs and symptoms and help people prepare questions for doctors or hospital nurses. Anyone in Australia can use this service.
